Agriculture

Are you curious how food is produced and gets to you? Are you interested in the sustainable use of natural resources to produce food? Study and learn by doing how food is produced and distributed along with the impacts to the environment, economics and society. 

Careers in Agriculture

Start your own farm, get a state or federal job or work in private industry. Work may be done in the lab, outdoors, and may include travel.

  • Get a job teaching agriculture or doing research in the fields of plant or animal science.
  • Work in natural resources as a soil scientist.
  • Become a veterinarian or animal behaviorist.
  • Inspect food for safety and quality.
  • Play a role in agribusiness as an agricultural loan officer or marketing agricultural products.
