Communication Studies

Communication is among the top 10 skills that employers from most fields look for when hiring.  Communication Studies is a major that can be used in many fields. Communication Studies graduates learn how to effectively communicate in many contexts, such as the workplace, social settings, community events and interpersonal situations. Develop the skills and tools to effectively express yourself and work successfully with others. Choose from two degree tracks: Communication Studies and Journalism.

Careers in Law, Marketing and Journalism

Effective communication is important in almost any job. From practicing law to leading marketing campaigns, or owning your own business, a communication degree will launch your career.

  • Start your career in business. Become a manager or executive or work in human relations (HR).
  • Become a writer or public relations specialist, or work as a educator or in politics.
  • Work in multimedia, entertainment, video production or marketing.
  • Pursue a career in TV and radio broadcasting or telecommunications.
